The problem

Floyd makes modular furniture built to last. Their old store worked like a catalog and told none of that story. Shoppers could not easily see how a sofa or bed configures, which made a considered purchase feel risky.

What we found

Modular products create two hard problems. On the storefront, every configuration needs to be explained and compared. Behind the scenes, every configuration needs its own reviews, stock and delivery, and the old setup pooled them together.

The decisions

Teach before you sell. Product templates hold materials, assembly and care in expandable sections, with video breakdowns that show how each module fits together.
Reviews per configuration. A scheduled sync gives each sofa setup its own reviews, so a buyer of a corner sofa reads reviews from corner sofa owners.
One-step bulk fulfillment. Operations paste a batch of orders, update fulfillment and inventory by warehouse in one action, and download a CSV as the audit record.
Delivery with setup, at checkout. Large furniture buyers see the setup option before they pay, which cuts surprise questions after the order.
A timeline for every theme change. Each publish and edit is logged, so a change that hurts conversion can be found and rolled back fast.

What we shipped

A calm, grid-based storefront with editorial video, clear filtering for configurable products and a simple mobile checkout, plus the internal tools that keep reviews, fulfillment and theme changes in order.

The result

Floyd now has a store that matches the simplicity and longevity of its furniture, and an operation that scales with the catalog instead of fighting it.
